Our Core Values summerize our Ethos! They are the principles and priorities that guide our organization’s actions. Each represent the foundational commitments and deeply held beliefs that allow us to navigate technical challenges and complex situations while keeping our identity and culture at the forefront.

Integrity

Integrity is the quality of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. It creates a positive culture of open communication and gives us a strong moral guideline for all our decisions. Because of our Integrity, we act with uncompromising honesty, and we build trust through responsible actions and honest relationships. We make ethical, transparent, and responsible decisions based on experience, technical knowledge, and professional standards. Our customers not only work with us for our expertise, but also because they know we are trustworthy, that we act in good faith, and for the Integrity with which we approach every project.

For Precision Mindset, Integrity, in and outside the workplace, is essential for our and our customers' peace of mind and our collective successes. It unifies us as an undivided team.

Humility

When we do things, we do not simply think of how the activity can help us, we do the activity for the good of everyone involved and the project. Being humble and modest helps us build stronger relationships, to learn and grow, and to avoid the negative effects of arrogance and hubris. We do this by practicing active listening, gratitude, a willingness to learn, and by avoiding bragging or boasting. We seek guidance and feedback, and we ask questions.

We all do technical work and contribute to projects, including our leadership and management. As a team, we promote innovation, growth, continuous learning (Kaizen), and the sharing of ideas. Constant and effective sharing of information is essential to success! Providing each team member with adequate knowledge and information enables us to provide quick and decisive responses to opportunities and challenges as they arise. We support constructive dialogue, which leads to the best ideas and solutions.

Selfish people, know-it-alls, and knowledge hoarders do not thrive on our teams, and we have zero tolerance for business politics! When we hire, we look for high performing individuals with a passion for doing technical work. Fundamentally, we believe it's not the amount of time we put into your work, it's the quality and amount of work we put into your time! We focus, we are decisive, our decisions are analysis and data driven, and we avoid and eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy. We continuously build upon proven solutions. Using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), we assess our productivity and quality of work. Then we develop solutions for improving productivity, cost, and quality. We do this to create value for our customers and ourselves.

People who hide, procrastinate, and only participate for a paycheck, do not thrive on our teams. When we hire, we look for individuals who have a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. Such individuals take their work seriously and are dedicated to achieving set goals within deadlines. They are top performers who are reliable and consistent. We are Determinists — we work to identify the true challenges to performance and causes of nonrepeatabilities. Once identified, we devise real solutions to improve performance and to create better products, i.e., no band‐aids. We achieve better performance by maintaining a Precision Mindset and by practicing Precision Engineering Methodologies. Although we love to eliminate all nonrepeatabilities, we know that most projects are limited in time and money and the end user (culture) may have limited skills. For these reasons, we work with our customers to establish acceptable levels of nonrepeatabilities, i.e., we excel at establishing repeatability requirements.

Band‐aids that mask instead of eliminating non-repeatabilities cause us great anguish!

We excel at customer requirements — design requirements serve as the compass for our design process. They state the important characteristics that our solution must meet to be successful, and they ensure our customers receive the product they need — on budget and on schedule. Establishing true requirements ahead or at the start of a project is critically important for ensuring our customers get what they want! Most importantly, a thorough understanding of our customers' requirements, wants, and the broader application and business is essential to our collective success.

At Precision Mindset, we strive to understand and meet our customers' requirements and wants. Every team member appreciates the importance of establishing true requirements at the beginning of a project. Members work diligently to ensure each project requirements list is accurate and concise. Because of our experience and discipline, we can remove our bias from the design process and to allow the requirements to drive to the best solution.

Close-minded individuals who drive a project based on an already perceived solution without thoroughly understanding the true requirements, will always struggle on our teams and fail to lead.

Transparent Excellence — at our core, we believe in straightforward and truthful representations of our performance, services, and products'. We believe that transparent and open communication and honesty are the building blocks of successful relationships. Transparency strengthens trust, clarity and meaningful collaborations. When we say, “nothing about us is a secret,” we truly mean it. For us, transparency isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a promise.

Kaizen

From the Japanese word for “change for the better”, Kaizen represents our commitment to continuous improvement. As a team and as individuals, we work to improve our knowledge, skills, methodologies, procedures, communication, and designs. Each team member has a thirst for knowledge, is curious, and they want to become their best. They are selfless and share their knowledge with others. We grow through continuous education, lunch and learns, internal training, audits, and feedback. We share externally, through our project presentations, project reports, documentation, and training services.

Own the Experience

The experience is Ours! As such, we are responsible for our actions, our performance, our outcomes, and the experience we create for our customers', our team members', and ourselves. We continuously look for and recognize opportunities for improvement and we act. We implement standard procedures and metrics that help us maximize productivity, effectiveness, and quality.

Ownership is Ours! When issues arise, we take action, and we never blame others nor do we point fingers. Instead, we evaluate the situation, we offer solutions, and we learn from the experience as individuals and as a team.
