Fixed Fastener Tolerance

Date:
An illustration of a fixed fastener arrangement, e.g., a plate with clearance holes bolted to a plate with tapped holes

Notes

1. The default tolerance split between the clearance and tapped holes is 50/50.
2. The threaded hole is generally considered harder to produce.
3. A 60/40 split, giving more tolerance to the threaded hole, is often used.
